  • Manual Toggle for Tool Access: Program coordinators can adjust tool availability as needed.
  • Limitation on Tool Usage: To prevent misuse, there's a cap on daily tool interactions.
  • User Monitoring: Our technologists actively monitor for any unusual activity and take necessary actions to maintain a secure environment.
  • Private Servers: We process data on private servers, ensuring that only our tech team can access student data.

External AI Tools and Compliance

Our platform integrates advanced AI tools to enhance the educational experience while prioritizing safety and ethical usage:

  • AI Chatbot: Powered by GPT-3.5 Turbo, our chatbot includes not only OpenAI's safeguards against inappropriate use but also our custom features for data protection and ethical usage. Another added feature is Interaction Filtering, to ensure the chatbot is used solely for educational purposes within program hours. 
  • AI Image Generator: Utilizing Dall∙E 2, this tool is equipped with safeguards against inappropriate content. Our platform adds extra layers of security to protect student data and ensure the tool's use is relevant and ethical.

Innovative AI Tools with Safeguards

In addition to our integrated tools, we may use external technologies like Canva, Runway, and ClickUp, ensuring they comply with district policies and are only accessed through staff accounts.

We go above and beyond to ensure our platform is safe for student use. We strictly control the usage of generative AI tools, limiting them to program-related activities only. Our commitment is not just to provide an engaging educational experience but to do so in a manner that is secure, responsible, and compliant with all relevant privacy laws, including FERPA, COPPA, and state privacy laws.
